    <title>topic CA vs OC in Rebuilding Your Credit</title>
    <link>https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/CA-vs-OC/m-p/321496#M24392</link>
    <description>Is it better to go through the original creditor to pay a bill or the collection agency. I have a collection account for a library charge that I didn't know I had. It was in 2005 and is in collection. I want to get it paid but I also want it removed. I would like to call the library to see if I could pay them directly but I would also like the line deleted from my CR. What do you all think?</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;Hi and Welcome to the fora! It's best to work with the OC. If they won't accept your payment then you'll have to work with the CA. Please read the link below.&lt;/DIV&gt;
