So I have a charge off on my report from Jefferson Capitol

Date of First Deliquency is 7/2007

Date Major Delinquency first reported is 9/2010

So when will this fall off my credit? When does the 7 year period start?

7.5 years starts from the DoFD of 7/2007. So it should be exlcuded 1/2015.

If I were you, I would totally dispute this Tribute card with them using the FTC ruling. I did this last month for my Tribute card and they have settled with me and have sent me a letter for PFD. I'm just waiting for the deletion at this point (they said within 30 days and the payment was cashed last week)! Don't keep JCS on your report for that long, FIGHT THEM!!!

Can you tell me what you sent to them for the settlement and PFD? I'm not sure what to say to them.

I used one of the generic letters posted on this forum in the lobby sticky. You can also google Pay for Delete letters and then customize it with your own info. That's what I did.
