Mine was a hybrid GW and PFD. I had two collections with them, one paid, and the other unpaid. They called me back in response to my email and at first they said they couldn't delete, but I said that I got the email address from a coworker who said that they deleted for her, so she put me on hold, asked a supervisor for approval to delete in exchange for payment (which was only $26 BTW), and they even faxed me a letter saying that they put in a request to the CRAs to delete both accounts.

I also got a letter in the mail saying they wouldn't delete. I kept emailing the address I used to follow up, saying I hadn't heard from them. Someone ended up calling me back, I asked for GW and PFD over the phone and at first she said she couldn't do anything except to update the account to PIF. I kept pushing it and said that I had a friend who had a similar situation with IC Systems and they deleted for her. She put me on hold and a few minutes later told me they would delete once they saw in their system that I made the payment online. They even sent me a letter of what we agreed to because I told them I needed to give it to my loan officer b/c I was applying for a mortgage the following me.

Don't give up and don't take no for an answer. They can and will do it for you if you keep asking. Good luck.

Thanks esme, I will send another email today. I paid the account sometime last year before I knew anything about PFD. This was my first attempt at a GW and I won't give up. Thanks again!

@Tatwin 52-Did you ever have any luck? So far, I've received two letters saying no, but I've continued sending a letter and email at least once a week. I've read about several people on the forums having success with them.

I finally got IC Systems to agree to delete the account from my report after filing a complaint with the BBB. I got the typical response that they don't delete items once they have been paid but have made a business decision to delete the item from my report. I decided to go that route because they would not send me information validating the debt after I requested it numerous times. Even though I paid the item (to obtain mortgage) I still did not agree that I owed the debt. I am now down to 1 baddie (Hunter Warfield) and from what I am reading on here, it will not go away.

Congrats! I got my letter yesterday. It said that although their reporting was accurate, they are making a business exception to delete because of continual issues surrounding the account. I was sending emails and letters weekly!
