Do they even report to credit bureaus or do they report only if there's an unpaid debt?

in my case they only reported an unpaid debt. I owed them $64 so i was sent to collections. I didnt think about it till I applied for a home loan. Now its paid but i want it removed. We'll see im not having luck yet.
