Judgement DELETED! But no score increase?

Only had 1 public record on my credit (judgement from Amex, but it was SETTLED). About a month ago, EQ and TU deleted it. But EX wouldn't. I sent them a document from the CA that initially filed the judgement stating that it was settled and EX deleted it today! Yipee! So that's AWESOME! But I noticed there was no score increase. Is that typical? My EX FAKO was 680 when the judgement was still on there and showing satisified and is still 680 now that it's removed. Is this just a case of the benefit of it being gone isn't a score increase but that I'll probably get approved for more stuff now?

regardless of a score increase.. the fact that its off your reports is a huge plus. Under a manual review, judgements cant look too good.

Just because your FAKO didn't move doesn't mean your real FICO didn't.

Today I had an EQ monitoring alert that dropped my EQ score by 20-30 points.

I received my SW Fico alert this afternoon and guess what --- NO score change.

So perhaps the reverse is true for you....

Or maybe the jdugement was old enough it wasn't a huge ding anymore?

Congrats! That's awesome that they deleted.

Did you do anything special to have it deleted besides pay it? like file a motion to vacate? I'd like to delete mine too! It's been paid..

and like someone else said, maybe it was an old judgement that didn't effect your score as much anymore?

That's true. But I guess there's not even any way to find out since consumers can't buy their EX FICO, right?

The judgement was initially filed in early 2011, so it's about two years old, but I only settled it a few months ago.

Didn't vacate. I just got a letter from the CA that verified that it was satisified. I actually had sent the CA a fully formed legal letter just to sign that I had a lawyer vet before hand and I figured they'd sign and send it back but apparently they have their own form letter because they sent me back a completely different letter that basically said the same thing and they signed and notarized it.

750Hopeful, do you know why they were deleted? I have one that is 4 years old and been paid since the month it hit my report but hasn't been deleted....I though they stayed on for 7 years....

Very nice! The law firm that sued me that represented the CA sent me a Warrant of Satisfaction after I paid--do you think that is grounds for deletion?

I disputed the judgement and vaguely said it was "incorrect," which it was because it had been satisified and the CRA were still reporting it as not settled. So I disputed as incorrect and asked them to delete. EQ and TU did within a few days.

The FAKO on Experian doesnt update appropriately, or predictably. When I used the service I got no increase from the removal of a collection, but then 2 weeks later, got a 45 point jump from paying off a credit card with a balance of $150 with a 500 dollar limit. Of all the FAKO's i would say that theres is probably the worst.

It might. Mine was called a "Release of Judgement" though. Sounds almost like a vacte so maybe they thought it was?

Good to know! Thanks! Yeah, with TU, I had a single inquiry drop off and my FAKO jumped by 10 points! I've got about 25 inquries so if only it does that for each one that falls off and I'll have a 950 score! LOL!
