I have been a lurker for awhile trying to improve my score. I used everyone's advice and wrote a GW letter/email toi the executive office of Capital One. They called me within 72 hours since it was the weekend when I wrote them. They said that they cannot by law change my lates because that is against the law. I said that I didn't want them to change them, but to report no data. She stated that they could not do that either. So how do other people get this done? What else can I say to them? Any advice??

Welcome to the forums.

I am sure that the others probably sent a ton of GWs before Cap 1 finally said yes.

The FCRA does say that reported information does have to be accurate but in no way does a creditor have to report at all.

I would just keep trying. Is this the only late on your report?

No I have others too. I have been sending GW letters, emails, and making calls. This was just the first response I got. I have learned so much from this website- it is amazing! All the people really seem to support each other! Thanks so much for your reply! I know there is no magic answer, but I sure would love one!
