I opened this line when prompted inside my PayPal account. I received a CL of $800. Payments were made on time each month for several months from within my PayPal account, then PayPal froze my PayPal account for "review". I had over $50,000 in the account. The freeze remained in effect for two months. The day they unfroze the funds, I paid off the remaining balance of the Smart Connect, which was approximately $400.

During the two months my account was frozen, I called PayPal and asked how to pay the line of credit if my account was frozen. They told me the only way to pay was through your paypal account, so I waited. Unfortunately, that must have been bad info, as they reported me 60 days late and the ding still remains on my credit report.

A couple of weeks ago, I sent a goodwill letter to the address listed for GECRBPAYPALSMARTCONN in my credit report, but that letter came back as undeliverable, no such address. I called the toll free number listed on my credit report and it is an automated system that will not give any contact info or let you speak to an agent.

Do any of you have any thoughts on how I can have this two year old 60 day ding removed?
