Paid Utility Collection deleted.

Just wanted to tell everyone not to give up.

I had a utility collection that was reported to one of my credit bureaus.

It's 1.5 years old, but recently paid in full.

I paid the original creditor, not the collection agency.

Then I called the original creditor, gw, emails, etc.

Finally today I received a call and just now an email saying that the account is satisfied and all negative reporting will be retracted from the credit bureaus. It should be updated in 45 days.

Just wanted to say, if you paid it and the account is satisfied, it should disappear, just my opinion.

It wasn't easy, but it was welcomed

Nice work. Gives me hope.

I have been working on Duke Energy for almost 3 weeks now.

Paid bill did not know I had but found out after my friends at Bull City Financial(appropriate name) made me aware of it. Bill went to collections Oct 2012.

Paid balance to Duke. Asked for recall and delete. Was submitted for review, no response.

Sent email to EO today.

No response yet but keeping fingers crossed.

Keep emailing, and sending letters.

Find out who's in charge of duke energy in your city. Find the people in charge of the city utilities and email them. You have a better foot to stand on now that it has been paid in full.

Wonderful news! Quick question what collection agency? I am in the same boat and would like to pay in full and have it deleted. If this account is deleted I would only have three baddies left.

Duke Energy has completely ignored my EO contacts and CS requests for removal.

TL was updated to paid/closed yesterday.........SOBs.

Sent GW to CA Monday. Wish me luck.

Edited to add filed complaint against Duke at BBB 03-30-13. No response yet.
