Federal Tax Lien Withdrawal

I received a letter indicating that my request has been approved...Now what do I do can I sent a copy if that to the cra to have the item removed from my credit reports or this that they do?

The IRS will send the request to the CRA's. You can however call the CRA's and asked for their fax # to speed up the process!!!! Congrats on the removal!!!!!

I was wondering if faxing it worked for you and how long it might have taken. I just faxed mine this morning to the 3 CRA & wonder how long it will take to be removed. I have went thru hell & back to get the IRS to withdrawal the lien and I am antsy. Thanks

When I fax'd my state withdrawl TU and Experian removed it that day . Equifax said that any paperwork that they receive they have to investigate which starts the 30 day clock. I told them that the is in violation of a government order and that they would be in court before the 30 days is up. It was removed within the hour.

So keep on Equifax. Once a dispute is initiated, even if they receive the paperwork from the state, the computer will continue with the dispute process. The whole thing took about 3 days for all CB's.

Make sure that the lien withdrawal is recorded in the public records of your county. I had to take my copy to my county records office and pay a small fee to have it recorded because they did not receive it from the IRS as they were supposed to. I then took the recorded copy and gave it to my loan officer to did a rapid update on my credit reports.
