I am still in the process of rebuilding my credit since a snafu in 2007, but was thinking about applying for another credit card in order to help boost my score(s). If I apply this month, how much time should pass for this inquiry for it to not affect when I try for a mortgage in 6 months or so? Will it even make a difference? I have anywhere from 2 to 4 inquiries on all 3 reports and below are my open credit card accounts and when I got them:

320 limit from June 2011 (inquiry will fall off this summer)

3700 limit from November 2012

800 limit from December 2012

1500 limit (inquiry no longer on report(s).

Auto loan November 2011 (all of those inquiries will fall off in December 2013)

EX:677 / EQ FICO 691 / TU FICO:716

The rebuild is for 3 chargeoffs (all paid in full) from 2007 that will come off my reports in 2014 at different times. I would like to start looking at houses in 6 months or so and am hoping another card for utilization purporses will help boost my credit profile and score when applying for a mortgage. I also have auto and student loans (all in good standing-never late) and my credit card utilization rate is about 5 percent.

Any advice would be great!
