Midland is so frustrating!

I sent out a GW letter to Midland on 4/18, and received a response back today:

Dear "TheBDub"

Thank you for your recent correspondence. The purpose of this letter is to advise you that we cannot delete our credit reporting of the above-referenced account as requested. Pursuant to the FCRA, we are required to accurately report information regarding your account and our transactions with you, and the deletion of the above referenced account from the credit bureaus would be inaccurate. However, we will continue to request that the three major credit bureaus list the status of this account as "Disputed."

So does this mean Midland is just trying to toy with me? Is their listing of their reporting as disputed going to help it being removed in the future, or should I keep sending GW's. Also, why does Midland show up as a collection on TU, but a revolving account on EX and EQ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they will have the CRAs list it as disputed, then they will validate it. Keep sending the GWs.
