Pay for delete?

I have 3 medical bills I need to take care of. $407, $64, $ 83. How do I do a PFD on these. I know I do everything in writing but do I offer them a portion of the full balance or do I have to pay the full amount to get a delete?

I am not sure if I am right (only been doing this about a week and haven't gotten very far) but on my medical I am contacting the OC and asking them to pull the debt back from the CA. My understanding is that if the OC reclaims the debt then the CA has to delete it from your credit report. Then I am going to pay the OC directly.

I called the OC and the lady (billing supervisor) said they don't usually recall debts. I asked if I could write a letter asking to reconsider. She said she would discuss it with her manager and get back to me. SHe said she would make sure they CA showed a $0 balance. I wonder if this will hamper the GW letter process with the CA if I have to use that also?

In March, I had two medical CA that I did PFDs for. I handled both over the phone and they were removed from all three CRs in less than 30 days. I didn't request anything in writing but you can definitely ask them to send you an email confirming your agreement. Good luck to you!

Edit: I dealt directly with the CA as the OC weren't able to help. For one of them, I contacted the COO/CEO directly via email.
