DV old accounts?

I have 2 accounts from '09-'11. Do I start with DV'ing them? I tried getting the OC to recall but they refuse, stating theyn are too old. I had plans on starting the PFD process but should I DV first?

You can try a DV but if you already received dunning notices they can just throw it away.

If they are still within SOL make sure you can pay before sending the DV.

I would, just cause they have it listed on your credit report doesn't mean they are authorized to collect or own the account. That's why it's called a DV Debt Validation!!

Do you mean pay in full? I could the $84 and $63 ones but not the $407 one. I don't remember what or if I've received anything from them. I don't on a regular basis at, least not anything recent enough that I can remember. I am not sure about the SOL. I am in Oklahoma. When I try to read that stuff it is a little confusing.

Not sure if anyone remembers, I know there are hundreds of people on here but I had made contact with this CA a little while ago and they took the three accounts and combined them into a "new" account and send me a notice requesting payment in 10 days. I DV'd that but haven't heard anything back yet.

If a CA holds multiple debts, you can direct them to apply the money to the one you wish.

Debt validation only means they are validating a debt is due. It does not make them prove anything, like it is yours.

If you know they are your debts send PFDs for the ones you would like to pay. If they try to say you owe more, remind them that you are allowed to say to which accounts your money goes per the FDCPA.

Do I need to PIF these? These two that are under $100 wont be a problem but that one for over $400 is doing to be a little tough to come up with right now.
