I BANK WITH CHASE AND I FIGURED THAT THEY ARE A LITTLE STRICT SO I DIDNT EVEN THINK OF APPLYING WITH THEM. I'VE NEVER BEEN APART OF A CREDIT UNION BUT I WILL TRY TO SIT DOWN WITH THE LOAN OFFICER AT CHASE AND SEE WHAT THEY THINK. THANKS

I don't know about Springleaf but why not try your bank? Ask the bank which CRA they pull for loan approval and instead of applying right then, bring in a copy of your report from that CRA and sit down with a loan officer. Ask them, after they've reviewed your report, if you would qualify for a personal loan. In this way you won't have an HP reporting on your credit report without qualifying. Your scores are not too bad so they may be willing to give you a loan. Are you with a traditional bank or a credit union? Credit unions are easier to deal with.

I would definitely try to join a credit union if I were you. Chase is proabably way too strict. CRs are far more lenient. I got a CC with a 15k limit from a CR when my score was around what yours is. I love credit unions.

how long were you with that credit union before you got the cc? I was going to try springleaf because I need the money within the next 2 weeks. If I join a credit union will they allow me to borrow right away or is there a waiting period?

thought about carecredit but the doctor doesnt accept financing.. so i would have to use a place that puts the money in my checking account or one that gives me the money.

I used them back when they were American General Finance. Not a great deal, as the interest rates on personal loans are always high, but I needed the money immediately, and they have fairly relaxed credit standards. There are a lot of online complaints about American General Finance, but I didn't have any issues with them. I paid the loan back in a few months because the interest was so high.

I hope to never be in a position where I need a cash infusion like that again, but we all know that stuff happens.

Yeah I heard the interest was high but I just need a place that will approve me with my credit... I'm paying it back the very next month so thanks.. I think they might be one of my only options so I'll give them a try.. I'm actually trying to wait until my othe credit card reports on the July 4th because my utilization is really low so i was hoping for a score bump before I applied just in case lol...

If you dont mind me asking... how much were you approved for?
