I sent a PFD letter (the one that's popular here) to a CA, and I didn't get a response. I did get the signature card back. I offered the full amount, not a settlement. So what's the next step? Do I send it again?

I actually have the same question. I'm ready to start paying off this debt but at the same time I want it all removed from y credit report. Should I give them more time to respond or call them to see if they will agree to the terms in the letter and send out a letter stating once the account is paid in full they will remove it from my credit report?

Any help on this matter would be great. My repayment plan starts this week.

Thanks

Don't send them $ without an agreement.

As soon as you send $1 you will reset the SOL and they will sue. Payment plans and PFD together are a alot more work- but well worth it if you can get it.

@Anonymous wrote:

I actually have the same question.
You may want to contact the OC and let them know their CA is not responding to your correspondence.

You may also want to try Fax or Email. But get the agreement on their letterhead.

@Anonymous wrote:

Thanks for the reponse. The real question is...

NEVER talk to a CA!!!!! you can send a PFD to the OC. You should always send a DV to any CA before thinking about paying!!!!

How old is the debt? is it past SOL?

If they are reporting $0, then all you can do is send GW letters (very long shot with CapOne).
