LETTER I RECIEVED FROM TRANSUNION.....ADVICE NEEDED

I submitted a second dispute to transunion regarding two accounts showing a debt that BOTH creditors cannot validate. I sent all the documentation to Transunion, with a letter stating that requesting deletion, and that Transunion had verified the debts as valid even AFTER both creditors failed to validate the debts as requested.

Today, i recieved a letter from Transunion that states as follows: "verification documents not available"/ we do not provide dispute verification documents."

This makes NO sense to me. I didnt ask them to validate the debts ( I ALREADY DID THAT WITH THE CREDITORS WHO STATED NEVER RESPONDED TO MY REPEATED LETTERS!). I sent them EVERY copy of every letter I sent to the creditors listed CMRRR.

What do you suggest I do??

Send TU an MOV letter. Give them 15 days to respond or delete. If neither happen, send them an ITS.

Okay, thanks for the quick responses.

I just am astonished that after I sent blatent hard proof that both creditors could NOT provide validation of the debts (one collection agency they listed isnt even in business anymore and the letter came back from the post office as UNDELIVERABLE COMPANY MOVED NO FORWARD ADDRESS) that they still wont correct my file!!!!

Also, should I file a complaint with the BBB regarding both creditors who are reporting information without validating it as requested????

It sounds as though you already requested MOV from TU.

I would file a complaint against both CA with the BBB and see what you get done.

I will go ahead and file a complaint with the BBB. What should I do about Transunion, since they obviously just totally ignored my dispute and all of the proof I sent.

CRA have no clue about FDCPA and really aren't concerned with it.

What the CA did was a FDCPA violation, the CRA can't do anything about that and IMO, they don't care.

IMO, I think the only time sending the information to the CRA works is if the CA doesn't respond to the dispute or tells the CRA to delete.

I would file the complaint and forget about TU at this time.

Thanks for the quick response!

I was wanting to get these 2 accounts resolved. We are looking to purchase a home at the beginning of 2009. I didnt want to send an Intent to Sue letter, hoping that the CRA's would do the right thing when I have proved that the collections arent being verified.

Has anyone had any luck with the BBB and getting things resolved on their credit reports??????

Update! I just checked with the BBB online, and the collection agency that is "validating" my debt per Transunion is out of business!!! It saids online their phone line has been shut down and mail returned!!!

What did your letter to TU say? Did they mark the account in dispute after they received it?

It is Alliance One in Ohio.

I sent the letter that was recomended to me in the forums. The letter requested deletion, i was advised to use it:

This is a request for deletion of disputed items. I have attempted to have this allleged debts

verified by the alleged creditors and collection agency to no avail. I am respectfully requesting that

Transunion do what is legally mandated by the FCRA and FDCPA, and delete the account listing.

I typed in specific account info and submitted my CMRRR receipts and letters that I sent to the original collection agency.

How long after they received the letter was it before you got a reply?

Was the account marked in dispute on your CR after they received the letter?

Transunion recieved the letter last Tuesday. They have not marked the account as in dispute or made any changes. I called on 8/11/09 and made a phone dispute and advised I would be also sending in my letter and documents to prove my case. I recieved the letter from TU on 9/6. When I checked the status online of my disputes, it still shows them as pending.

Equifax HAS marked the accounts as in dispute. CSC handles my file.

The BBB recomends that if anyone has an issue with Alliance One in Ohio, that they "should probably seek legal counsel". Gee. that makes me feel better!!!!!!!!!! Not!

However, if you did a phone dispute on 8/11 then the response you just got could be from that dispute.
