Yeah, that one seems pretty legal and straight forward. And I am not disputting the bill. I just want to see if they would be willing to delete it in return for my full payment. I will have to play around with it and see what I can come up with.

Thanks.

Dan

NCO recently popped 2 medical collections on my credit reports. I want to attempt to do a PFD. When doing a PFD do I have to pay the full amount at one time or can I make payments over time instead?

Message Edited by sammyfire2001 on 05-11-2008 05:25 PM

I've never seen anyone post back saying if they succeeded or not.

Also, chances are NCO doesn't own the account, but the OC does (due to medical). You could also negotiate a PFD with the OC and they do have the power to retract NCO's reporting.

I've read that NCO is generally easy to deal with and they do accept PFDs.

I have been trying to find the PFD example letter that has been posted on here before but I keep getting a dead link. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

I had some OCs who saw it and thought I was disputing. I edited it to eliminate the time frame (thus eliminating the need to send CMRRR). I also shortened it, but I still insist they send on their letterhead.

A PFD is more like a GW letter; they don't have to respond.
