Fingerhut account still showing balance after sold to CA

My $200 Fingerhut account was sold to Metabank then WebBank and now Midland.

The Meta & Web are still both on my CR but showing $0 balance. Midland is showing $319 now.

I just logged into my Fingerhut account to see what the original balance and it is showing $319.86. So, I wonder if I should just pay my bill online directly through them and then try to dispute it with the CA's??? Or should I write to Fingerhut first?

This is what I have written out:

I show that I have a balance with you for $319.86. It looks like the account has been sold to a collection agency. I would love to pay it in full directly to you. I can pay you in full the $319.86 on Thursday 9/19 if you agree to pull this account back from the Collection Agency (Midland, Webbank, & Metabank)

I am trying to get a mortgage for my family and could really use a goodwill gesture right now. I would love if you could help me out.

I look forward to doing business with you again in the future!

Fingerhut likely cannot pull it back since they likely don't own the debt (e.g. they report $0 and MCM typically only buys debts vs. being assigned to them). Even if you paid Fingerhut, the CA can still report which doesn't help any. How many PFDs to MCM have you sent?
