who to send the PFD TO?

I am wanting to send a PFD but not sure who I should send it to. Friday i recieved a letter from the JD Stuart Law Group saying I owe the OC $42.20 but when i pulled my credit report today that bill shows a diffrent CA.Same OC,exact same amount....so now im not sure where to send the PFD? thoughts?

I would send it to the one that's reporting. If accepted and the new CA tried to put it on your CR I would send them a copy of the bill being paid and asking them to remove it off your CR. Make sure in the PFD letter you state that this account will then be settled and they will not seek any further action or attempt to sell the debt to a new CA since this account will be paid in full.

Ditto. Always send a PFD to whomever reports it. You sent a DV to the CA first, right?

No,I havent sent anything yet...It is my most recent collection and its only 42 bucks i was just going to PIF if they will remove it

l i sent a PFD to the CA listed on my credit report (ARC managetment group)...This week they sent me back a letter that goes like this..

This letter serves to respond to your request for verification of the debt owed by you.

According to the records suppllied by lake forest emergency group,your account number xxxxxxxx was opened when serves were rendered at st.joe hospital.the total charge for the physicians services were $1183.00.the amount you currently owe is 42.20.we have confirmed with our client this information is accurate.

after review of this information please do not hesitate to contact our office to discuss settlement of this account.

I sent them a PFD....this responce letter makes it sound like i sent them a DV letter.

Yes, and put on it that this is not a dispute nor a debt validation. Be specific in what you are wanting.

OK just sent out ANOTHER PFD with nothing said about debt verification ...lets see what happens
