HIPPA Question - Check not cashed

I sent my $148 check to the hospital about 3 weeks ago and it has not been cashed and I haven't heard anything from them at all. How much longer should I wait before I send another check? Also, if I send another check what should I do about the first one? Should I call the hospital on the phone?

Bella I am assuming you mailed a bank money order or cashiers check with the restrictive endorsment if you did I think they are figuring out how to deal with it I hear sometimes it takes up to 30 days and even more for them to cash it. I would wait if I were you . HappyDays or Fused or Sidewinder might be able to shed some light on this.

Thanks for asking. The check has been cashed but it is still on my credit reports. I sent of a letter to the CR's and the Hospital to try and get it off. I hope it gets deleted soon!!

How long ago did the hospital cash the check? Did you send this letter using insert A when you sent payment?

I did enclose that letter and the check was cashed on September 15th. How much longer should I wait?

Wait until Oct 1st. If the reporting CA does not remove the collection by then, send the CA the DV or Alt DV letter CMRRR.

MEDICAL DV LETTER TO THE CA if reporting unpaid

ALTERNATIVE MED DV LETTER TO THE CA if reporting as paid

Once you get the green card back for the DV or the Alt DV letter, send this follow-up dispute letter to the CRA's CMRRR.

FOLLOW-UP DISPUTE LETTER (2) TO THE CRA'S
