Secured Cards and Other Stuff

So, as it turns out as I said in one of my previous posts, The Capital One Secured card I have has not been reporting. I got a letter from the credit analyst saying that it had not properly reported for two months, but should be reporting regularly now. Should I close this one and get a different secured card or what? And will this push me back from the six month mark, where I should have started getting prequalification offers? I have a BoA secured $500, Crap1 $500, and a AAMCO CarCareOne card with a limit of $500. Where should I go from here?

It should back date and update all prior and current information. You will be ok with it now.

Ok should I just check prequal offers when I hit the six month mark?

I play with them all the time, so feel free to do it often and help pass the time :-) you might get lucky and get it before 6months!

The barclays one said that Barclaycard Rewards Aspiring Prime was recommended. Does that mean I meet their prequal?

At the bottom it says:

Dont stop trying and playing with them, when you finally get a Pre-approved you know you are getting better!!

I was pre approved for BOA and decided to wait.... now I try it and I am NOT but I also know why , so now I need to work on paying down credit cards to get my scores back up where I will be pre-approved again. I wont app unless its pre-approved!! I dont want to waste credit pulls.

Do you have any negatives on your credit report to work on while your credit cards get older?

How does prequal work without impacting your credit score? I went to one of the links you posted, and it wanted my entire SSN....i don't want to risk a HP, but this is intriguing based on how far I have come. Is this a SP?

No, I have absolutely no negatives. I'm not rebuilding per say, but just building from nothing.
