My first thought is removing that gettiing that account removed lowered your average age of accounts and lowered your score.

Okay, I disputed some info with the CRA's. Before the dispute results, on Equifax I had 2 collections and 1 charge off and my FICO score was 651. One collection and the charge off is for Credit One and are due to fall off in April. The other collection is for $55 and I paid it last May, it is from like 2009. They deleted the old collection for Credit One, left the charge off there and left the more recent collection there. My FICO score is now 637.

Someone please explain how if a collection is removed my points went down???? *Note: In the comments it says that the recent collection is being disputed. Would that do it?

Thank you!!!!!!

Is the dispute comment removed from the CO?

Although a collection is supposed to be fully factored in during a dispute sometimes they aren't. I don't see your score dropping if they did remove it from scoring if it is a 3rd party collector.

No, there isn't any language on the CO, oddly enough. Although now that I am looking better at my new report compared to my old one, they removed a (newly marked) satisfactory paid, closed acct with First Premier. I realize I shouldn't have disputed that account until I got responses back from my GW's I sent out. Apparently, that must've lowered my AAoA, because I only have one other satisfactory TL which is a Cap One secured card that will make a year in May.

ARGHHH!!! I did this to myself.

Thanks for your help.
