It says it was vacated by the judge.

It has been recorded or you couldn't look it up.

Get copies of all of those documents and send them to the CRAs.

Confused About Paid Judgment

Until I found this site, one of the items on my CR that I was sure I could do nothing about was a judgment on a Target credit card from 2011. Now I know that I may be able to get this item removed. Problem is, I don't know where to start.

The first problem is that the data on all 3 CRs is inaccurate. The judgment was paid by way of wage garnishments at the beginning of 2012. On the CR, it shows up like this:

Amount: $1,844
Status: <Blank>
Date Reported: N/A
Satisfied Date: <Blank>
Verified Date: <Blank>

Based on my research here on MyFico, it seemed my next step was to contact the plaintiff's attorney to ask them to file a satisfaction of judgment, and after that file a motion to vacate. So I looked up my case online, and it looks to me like all of that has already been done by the attorney and judge. This is the activity on the case after it was paid:

3/26/2012 - Stipulation to Dismiss Filed [by attorney]
3/26/2012 - Motion for Satisfaction (or Release) of Judgment Filed [by attorney]
3/27/2012 - Satisfaction (or Release) of Judgment Filed [by judge]
3/27/2012 - Vacation Judgment/Dismissal - Allowed [by judge]
3/27/2012 - Dismiss by Stipulation or Agreement [by judge]

My interpretation of these entries is that the case has been dismissed, and if that's true, shouldn't I be able to get it removed from my CR?

I've already filed online disputes with the CRs and sent them a PDF copy of the online case report. Hopefully that will be enough, but if it's not, what are my next steps?

First: A belated thank you for the advice. Regardless of whatever else happens, I'll be going to the courthouse to get copies of those documents so I have them for my records.

But I already have good news. I got the results of my dispute with Experian today, and they have DELETED the judgment from my CR. They also updated my car loan that I paid off on 12/31/13 to show a balance due of $0. I pulled my Experian score and report on freecreditreport, and it is 77 points higher than the MyFico score from a week ago (from 499 to 576). I'm way too tempted to pay the $20 to get the score from MyFico again just to make sure the other score is at least close to accurate.

Even though the judgment is stil on my Equifax report, I got a Score Watch alert today with a 23-point bump due to the update to my car loan (from 478 - ouch - to 501).

I have to wait to deal with TransUnion because I already entered a dispute last week, and they won't let me do a new one online. But their score is already my highest.

I am now out of the 400s completely! I was so depressed when I signed up on here a week ago and saw those numbers. Now I know for sure there is hope!

I love this site so much.
