i have read on here so many times that Texas residents have the law on their side when it comes to having a CA & OC getting back to them with you send them a DV letter.

does anybody have a sample letter for both the CA & the OC.....where it states that they have to verify within 30 days by law in Texas?

i have sent plenty of letters.....but they never get back to me & show proof..which they have to....right?

if i sent them a letter...by law they have to respond back to me or they are in violation here in Texas.....that is what i understand.....but they keep on blowing me off.

any good letters that state the law? I have sent about 3 DV letters.....all 3 CRA say they were validated....but I have yet to hear back from them directly. thoughts?

thanks again for the help!

I don't have a link handy, but I found it referenced well in here:

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/fico/board/message?board.id=rebuildingcredit&message.id=20772&query.id=213406#M20772

The 30-day DV rule only applies to CAs, not OCs.

If I read right, you sent the DVs to the CAs without any response? And then you disputed with the CRAs?

Did you ever receive a letter back from the CA?

Was your address on the DV letter? Maybe they didn't have a current address. Idea I guess. And yes, you don't have to respond to their "supporting info" request.

@Anonymous wrote:

with the OC's i am disputing....there is one i did not receive any DV from...what are my options there?

OCs don't have to respond to a DV request. If you disagree with the OC, and past SOL or you are willing to give it a shot, you could call or write them to ask for an accounting.

The law you are looking for is TFC 392 it does have a lot of teeth and if they don't comply you can get more damages like triple I believe. If you google it you can read it in entirety.
