Pinnacle Credit Service / VZW

Below is a truncated version of a collection account from Equifax. I tried a PFD with VZW several times about two years but they adamantly refused. I'm curious now if Pinnacle owns the debt. If so, should I try the PFD with them now? As always, thank you!

Sue them in small claims court- They are junk debt buyers. A account cannot be a portfolio account and a factoring account. I just filed suit against them and plan on fighting them aggressively to expose them.

FOr me I offer them 20% for PFD and they agree to 45% and within 3 days it was gone , this is my personal experince with pinnacle and it was verizon account and like you i had NO LUCK with verizon

I'm dealing trying to figure out a PFD with Pinnacle as well for a VZW bill. I really need this done asap. I will be closing on my mortgage soon. Can you tell me what you put in your PFD ltr? And how did you send the offer? fax? email? mail? These people just popped up out of nowhere on my CRs.

I too have a VZW accoutn with Pinnacle. It just showed up about 2 months ago, until which time I had no clue I owed VZW anything. (There was never anything from VZW on my report...)

I first got a letter from "Northland Group" stating that they were attempting collection on behalf of Pinnacle for a VZW account. They were offering like $200 to settle on the supposed $600 debt. I immediately DV'd them since I didn't have a clue that I owed VZW any money. Then a few weeks later I saw Pinnacle pop up on my CR, never received anything from them though. So, I then sent a DV letter to Pinnacle based on their new reporting....

I've yet to hear back from either of them.

I wrote Pinnacle with a PFD offer and got a response from First National Collections, offering a settlement at 40% (not a pdf). I decided to call pinnacle and they said they couldn’t talk to me, or negotiate a PFD, that I'd have to contact First National. When I contacted First National, they said they couldn't negotiate a PFD and i'd have to talk with Pinnacle about this.

Is there a specific number, address or person you spoke with for your PFD?

I am having a similar issue with Pinnacles. I settled my debt with Verizon and 28 months later got a collection letter from these guys - can you file a SC suit in any state? Im in CA

Dealing with the same issue right now. I just filed a claim because I resolved the issue with VZW as they threatened to send me to collections - but account was still owned by VZW, guess it still got sent. This is from nearly 7 years ago - scheduled to fall off early 2015. Good luck!
