MIDLAND SUCCESS - YAY!!!

So I've been hanging around here for a bit and found information regarding Midland and that they should not be reporting due to the FTC ruling. I disputed based on that and voila! Got a letter in the mail today from them that they will be deleting from all three bureaus! So excited! Looking forward to see how this will impact my scores.

Thought I'd share since it is clear this is one of the most difficult ones to get deleted.

PMs sent but just wanted to point out to everyone that I just used the Contact link on their website and sent an email that way.

In the email, I basically said that they are reporting the tradeline in error and that per the FTC ruling, reporting is prohibited and to delete per the ruling. I also mentioned that the OC is no longer appearing on my report, which means the OC complied and they should too. I think this will only apply for certain accounts, but you can check out the ruling by doing a google search for "FTC Compucredit" to see if it applies to you. Thankfully mine did...or at least Midland thought it did. :-)
