IMO neither is easy to work with. Both have been reported to the FTC and local AG offices. I know of 1 person that is planning to file suit against IC Systems.

I have had no luck with IC Systems. They are currently insisting they have the right to report two paid medical debts even though I have never contacted them since I'm following the HIPAA process. Since they have been the only ones to put up a fight I'm getting ready to fight back... glad I have documentation of everything.

My experience with both IC Systems and LVNV turned out to work in my favor. Everyone's situation and experiences are different. I did all my correspondence via email with both companies and even got a call from a vice president to assure me the matter was taken care of. I think they were accomodating to DH and I because we had paid them months ago, was told the accounts were going to be deleted, but werent. So that is when my pursuit started. I wish everyone good luck when dealing with any CA.

We have no proof that email will be accepted in court as a paper trail. Any one can send email in any name & it has no siggy.

I think thats a very valid point. I'm trying to send a GW letter to them at this point in hopes that they'll remove an old medical co-pay. I've tried calling with no succses and have written one letter. Hoping that an email address will get through to someone with a bit of compassion.

Anybody know how long it takes for them to delete and for the delete to be effective?

I emailed Carol and she was gracious enough to agree to delete on payment and I paid it today. Any ideas?

They report to the credit bureau every Monday. After I confirmed that they deleted, I checked my reports again at the end of the week (that Friday) and the collection was gone. I would say it should be gone within the week.

If this helps any, I sent a goodwill letter to Franklin Collections on 7/6 and when I checked my report Sunday 7/12 it was gone. I have sent letters to I C Systems in the past but no response. After reading some of the posts I am now trying planetfeedback.com and I hope this one works.

I agree, valid point, but you sound as if you're against the email bit. I only email regarding deletion and I'm a testament that email has worked. I guess the only difference to that statement with me is that I also have letters sent to me verifying the deletes from each company. I don't know if this is standard and that is what the CA's do to everyone requesting deletion, but I did request it, so in the event of them returning, I have both the email and letter as verification. I just want to say thank you for all the posts. I read this post emailed a contact person at I C Systems. I had tried several times to get this information removed from my report on my own. Thanks to all of your posts with issues similar to mine. I received an email this morning from a Carol Labs at I C Systems stating that the account would be deleted from all my credit reports. I agree with J-Lee email does work. Thanks!!!!

I was told IC system has a website... I gave the guy my cell # and told him to call me back on Monday. At that time, I'll get the site. Meanwhile why not post the emails and numbers to help others on their mission?

Never give out your personal number. Never call a CA. Never trust a CA. They most always record the call. Also, CAs are never good for their word. There are stories after stories after stories in here of CAs promising to delete, for example, and and later renegging on that promise. That's why we tell people to avoid the phone. Keep everything in writing.

Per the rules of this forum we can't post anyone's personal or direct business e-mail, but feel feel free to PM each other back and forth with that info. Or if you find a website that lists that info, and that website doesn't violate the TOS of this site in anyway, then feel free to post that too.

IMO, avoid the e-mail too. Some (certainly not all) courts have been known to reject e-mail correspondence because it can be fudged. Keep everything via US mail CMRRR when it comes to CAs.
