Help with Summons and Charge Offs

Hi Everyone I am a newbie to these forums. This year I have received (3) summons from (3) collection agencies for credit card accounts I had stop paying in 2003 totaling $15,000 including interest. These accounts have accured of interest of about roughly $2,500. First I would like some advise on what I should do about these credit card accounts.

Should I make payment arrangements?

Should I send them the PFD letters paying 25% - 50% of the debt?

Or Should I file for bankrupcy?

I have a family and we want to buy a house. These collection companies are threating to garnish my wages and I don't know what to do. Please Help

You received the summons, is there a court date set? Has it already gone to court? Is there a judgment?

What is your DOLA and SOL for your state? Possible they are beyond SOL, some states have short SOL on CC debts.

Its crazy because I received three summons for (3) credit cards I had while I was in college before I got married I ended up unemployed (2) times in 2004 & 2005, so I stopped paying on the CCs. One court date just passed I had just had a baby, so I couldn't make it there. Also, they did not send these summons to my new residence they sent them to my parents house. One court date I did not go to was in June and the other was Oct 2nd. The judgement for both was a little over $5,000. The DOLA was June 2004 for both CCs. I live in PA, I think the SOL is 7 yrs. I wanted to file a Notice of Appeal for the one that had the Court date of Oct 2nd, but I am not sure if I can file it on my own or if I have to get a lawyer.
