CAPITAL ONE (2) 3O DAYS LATE REMOVED!!!!

Just received a call from Capital One and they agreed to remove (2) 30days late payment from November & December 2013 they were reporting against me and would be sending me the confirmation letter in the mail. Had a flawless payment history with them for the past 3 and a half years. So excited about this!!! Being persistent really helps after all!

Actually I didn't Goodwill. I went through the CFPB route and Cap One contacted me a few days later after I sent my complaint. They took my info and told me they would get back to me in a few days but never did until today (11days after). The lady told me they've decided to remove the two lates and asked if there was anything else she could do for me. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for rewards privilege added to my account or getting the QuickSilver altogether, well she said she will get back to me on Tuesday regarding that. Mind u my account is one third way over the limit lol

thanks thanks I didn't really anticipate this tactics would work but then prior to going this extreme, I tried to resolve directly with the regular CSR and each time I would get some crappy letter in the mail verifying that they were reporting correctly so I had no option than to use ma last resort. It's a shame but there's nothing else I could do....

It's funny it all depends on who you get and talk to. I emailed the CEO Richard probably about a week an a half ago, I got a call yesterday from a lady Michelle left me a voicemail, I never got to call her back & she called me again this morning just to tell me they verified everything and it is reporting correctly. (Mine is a charge off, I paid in full)

I wonder if I could go that route as well, what would I say in the "complaint" basically the same thing I said in my GW letter?

yeah it gets a little complicated and I agree with u it prolly depends on who u get. I'm not sure what would be your argument in order to get the charge off removed, u know it depends on the reason the account charged off in the first place. Maybe because I kept being assertive that I was never late or perhaps it's easier for them to resolve a couple late payments - only God knows why they decided to remove it. My suggestion would be attempt the CFPB route (doesn't hurt to try) and see if your case gets transfered to some understanding representative. If you decide to go this direction, make a valid argument and if possible back it up with a documentation. Wishing you the best possible result!

I sent an email for the EO for deletion of the same 2 months. No luck for me. I had 11 and 12 years of perfect history with the 2 accts (one was born HSBC).

As wil most credit repair.....YMMV
