Have some "small" collections?? help..UPDATE ONE REMOVED ALREADY!!!

I have 5 collections in which I have posted a picture with amounts/dates etc.. Obvious answer is to simply pay them, Is that the best solution. I could pay off in a weeks time, but some were fairly old and did't know if "resetting the clock" on the time they are on my CR is worse then simply paying them in full. Was also reading that when paid these should come off completly with the updated credit reporting... Need some advice

Not sure where you read these would fall off once paid, as that is inaccurate information and they will remain on your report for seven years plus 180 days from the DoFD.

Now - are these valid collections? You know them to be yours and are accurate?

If so, I would suggest doing some PFDs for them.

You'll want to pay them - your score will take a slight hit as they update the collection to show paid in full - but that slight drop will be worth it to know you've paid them off.

I'm fairly certain these are mine mostly small co-pays and things that probably should have been covered by my college as these all happened while I was playing basketball under scholarship.
I attempted some PFD two or three years ago and don't think I had much success but I am unsure of what I actually attempted with those. If paid in full they will look better and actually improve my credit score after taking that initial hit\update?

They will improve your overall credit profile if you pay them for sure - it shows that yes, while you had some issues (and they are all medical - so easier to explain, perhaps), you were able to rectify and pay the debts you own.

If you have the money to pay, you could always try the PFD process again. Otherwise, pay them, and do some GW attempts.

If I remember correctly all PFD need to be in writing an offer to PIF and exchange for complete deletion but only if I get written confirmation before I PIF, and they agreed to do it within X amount of days after receipt of payment, of course I will write it much more nicely in this generic format.

Some will not put it in writing, but will actually do the deletion.

But I should write a letter to each of them with account numbers and amounts stating what I said in my above post how long should I wait for a response what if I don't hear one etc. just trying to cover all of my bases before I write these up this week

AMCOL will not put the PFD in writing but they will delete once account has been paid, even if you have to make payments or take their settlement offer. PFD with payment plan requires minimum payment of $100/mo. If I remember correctly, payment by check or MO results in 30 day deletion and payment by CC is 90 day deletion

Well Regarding Amcol.

Do I need to Write a PFD then wait for a response. Send in PFD then just pay it?

Or call request PFD, then pay by MO??

Just don't want to simply pay it without them knowing what my intentions are, to get it deleted, and then have them not do anything simply bc I didn't bring it to their attention.

I called them to discuss monthly payments and deletion from CR once balance was $0. While on the phone she offered a settlement amount, which had to be paid in full for deletion (no payment plan). She also explained they will accept lower monthly payments, but PFD payment plan must be at least $100 monthly. I bought a prepaid CC, strictly used to pay collections, and add money to it the day before the pre-arranged payment dates. It was a very easy process with them.

Well, Called amcol I offered to PIF for deletion , the account is 5/6 years old He said he will put in the request but there is no guarantee....BUTI will mail off the MO tomorrow and he said he put in for the request and lets just hope it comes through. Worst case I settle my debts, and it comes off in 1-2 years. BUT!!!

Good news I called the "DESIGNED RECEIVABLE SOLUTIONS" and offered the same PIF for Deletion, They accepted and Paid,(only $300) right away and said 30-45 days and it will be off! If amcol comes off( they are reporting 4 times for the visit.. so a total of 5 collections) I will be collection free!!!

Good luck Sajooka. I hope AMCOL does delete for you, especially since my female account mgr said PFD is company policy as long as you PIF 100/mo. or lump sum.
