Rebuild FAST using Visa BLACK CARD - seriously

In two and a half months I went from a 615 CK FAKO score and a $300 Cap1 Quicksilver One card to an AMEX Premier Rewards Gold card with 50k bonus points. I also have a couple other cards now with nice credit limits and here's how I did it for free using the infamous Visa BLACK CARD (https://www.blackcard.com/).

Three months ago (August) I had 2 charge offs and 2 open collections that were all 5-6 years old. Unfortunately a couple of those were reporting as more recent due to collections agencies buying the debt and re-reporting it. I had no other credit history besides my sister's car loan I cosigned on in May (she had the good score, I had the $40k income).

In late August this year I paid one collection, took my 615 TU score and received the Cap1 QS1 ($300) and the Barclaycard Rewards for average credit ($500 CL). A month after letting those report a 7% balance I picked up the Walmart and Amazon store cards with a $700 CL on each in the hopes of receiving fat Synchrony CLIs (I haven't).

After successfully disputing the misreported charge offs and collections I saw a nice jump in my TU score to 669 (CK FAKO) despite one old open collection still reporting.

I was content to garden for a year and tend to my wimpy cards when I felt an urge to do something bold. I had researched extensively the Visa BLACK CARD ("elite" metal AMEX Centurion knockoff with 24/7 concierge, airport lounge benefits, mass marketed to everyone for a $495 annual fee) and I'd read every post about it; I came to the conclusion that the credit requirements were very low and Barclays might be using it as a way to make money off suckers. I knew if I got approved I'd get a nice CL because the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires the annual fee can't be higher than 25% of the credit limit. I also knew I could get the fee waived and on top of that receive the 25,000 point bonus ($500 for airfare) by hitting $1,500 spend in three months. Seems too good to be true right?

Two weeks ago I opened an incognito browser with my 669 CK FAKO and took the plunge. INSTANT APPROVAL FOR $5,000! Intro APR of 0% on purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 months!! I was completely shocked, I figured I'd have to at least struggle with recon for a $2,000 CL. From toy limits on crappy cards to a $5,000 CL and big point bonuses within two months of rebuilding? No way.

My fancy new card and limit started reporting immediately and a couple days ago I began receiving AMEX preapproval offers on their website. Last night I jumped at my targeted 50k AMEX Premier Rewards Gold bonus points offer, APPROVED this morning with free rush shipping! Took a leap and also went for the Hilton HHonors no AF card, APPROVED for $2k. Logged onto my AMEX account, live chatted with an agent and had both cards backdated to 1995 (old AU account)!

Called BLACK CARD customer service today. Spent 15 minutes on the phone getting passed around to three different agents as I tried to get my AF waived by saying, "I'd like to try out this card against my others". Finally got a nice lady and voiced my irritation at being on hold that long, she not only waived the $495 annual fee but she ALSO increased my bonus to 30,000 points after I hit my spend ($600 for airfare!). My head was racing.

Icing on the cake: I also called and got my Cap1 QS1 $39 annual fee refunded. What a day.

Rebuilding can be done quickly, thanks to Barclays, and I'll be heading to the garden for while! Except now, happily, I will be tending to my big beautiful sunflowers instead of a few crappy dandelions.

You did in 2 1/2 months what most others can't do in 2 1/2 years !!

I've never heard of Cap-1 dropping their AF in less than 3 months and to get Barclays to waive the $495 AF on the Black card - Wow !!

I pulled all three credit reports from annualcreditreport.com and disputed through their online process. If you've already pulled your reports for the year go to Transunion's and Experian's site - you can get a report and score from them for $1 (trial offer, cancel within 7 days) and you can use that to dispute.

I selected the "Balance History Inaccurate" option for the collection dispute and put a statement about the issue; the debt was originally from 2008 but reporting as from 2011 by collection agency LVNV. TU and EQ deleted this record, EX did not and it still reports on there.

My charge off I got deleted was from a dentist 6 years ago that tried to charge me some kind of fee AFTER I'd left the office, I stupidly gave them my SS# when I filled out the new patient paperwork and they screwed my credit for it. I reported it as a fraudulent fee and that was removed by all three bureaus.

Thanks. I've done all the report getting and score monitoring. I have the 3B monitoring and I have CK, CS, and Quizzle accounts. I'm not new to rebuilding. I'm born again

My charge off is recent. And the charge off date that the OC told me is only a month or so off from what my reports say. I'm just trying to think of ANYTHING I can to get a score increase, but I don't think a month or so is enough to constitute "misreporting" Oh well.

Probably just superstition on my part but I like apping to credit cards with a clean slate; no cookies or anything that the card issuer can use against me

Congradulations on the uptick to your scores and your credit limit advancement. Great bold move.

This is something I would even try. My scores are 589 to 620. I have barclay NFL rewards ($1K), WF secured ($300), US Bank Secured ($300). I am AU on both of my wife's Cap QSVR ($500 and $2K). AAofA is just over 2 years. Since rebuilding my credit, I have 2 uppaid state tax liens removed from EQ and EX. Still showing on TU.

Only other baddy I have is a FP c/o. Can't seem to get is deleted. CRA are stalling; while FP will not do PFD or GW to remove the c/o.

I have 14 inquiries over last 2 years with 8 of those dropping in July and August of 2015.

What is best way to approach, apply and obtain the Black VISA Card?

Make over $65K and current utilization is 36%.

Any information you can offer would be helpful.

Been denied for CAP One secured, quicksilver in my own name. Denied AMEX everyday. Denied BofA secured.Can't seem to get any depatment store (Sears, JC Penny, Walmart).

Basically have a thin file due to older tradelines falling off.
