Last week I got a credit alert that a collection had been added to my report. It was for $76, the OC was BSNJA, the CA was American Recovery. I started to follow the pre-HIPPA instructions. I realize now that I've already spent $13 to get it either verified or deleted from one CRA, and will have to spend at least another $26 or more to check with the other 2 CRAS and send out green cards. I'm sure this isn't mine as I've never had an account with anyone called BSNJA. The alleged debt is from 02/03. Does anyone have a cheaper solution? Should I just write to the CA and demand they delete it as the debt is not mine? How much money do I spend to have it removed? Also, I haven't received any direct notification from anyone - not BSNJA or AR about this debt, just the credit alert.

I tell you, this credit repair stuff is tough enough when it is your fault, but when it's not, it's downright infuriating!!!!

Thanks!

The problem is that I don't know who the OC is. I've tried goggling the initials, but nothing comes up. The only information that was included in the CRA report (that I paid for) is the CA. Any ideas????

Thanks!
