I filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy 9 years ago ... got discharged June 2011. My Experian and TransUnion credit reports are clear but Equifax still shows the public record and recently a discharged home equity loan just popped back on it again. I've seen conflicting info that all Chapter 13 accounts and public records should be cleared 7 years after filing and others say it can still stay on 10 years after filing even though it's a Chapter 13. Is it worth disputing? If it is true Chapter 13 can stay on for 10 years why bother? I don't understand why just this one company Equifax is doing this. Thanks so much for any advice or feedback. I'm new here!
