Good luck! I've tried PFD with them and no dice! Also my last collection on EQ and EX. If you do a google search for there info you can find it :-)

Yeah, It's my last one too...and I really want it off my reports. Mine is also pretty recent, 2012..So I'm sure its hurting my scores.

Called again yesterday and left another message...no call back.

Thats where I'm at now. Did you ever try filing a BBB complaint on VW?

I'm going to give it to the end of this week, then pursue that route to see if I can get someone to call me back about my CO.

Where are you at in this process now cartwrna? Just going to pay it, let it update, the GW them?

I'm waiting to see what happens with the reporting. I filed BBB complaint and EO will call you promptly. I didn't get anywhere with that route. Last time we spoke I was attempting to pay and just be done with it. That's when they informed me they sold the debt, so waiting to get a letter from them at which poibt I'll pay them to not report. The guy I spoke with in EO office wasn't too bright I don't think. I told him if they sold the debt that they needed to update the balance on their reporting to $0 or be in violation. At that point he told me they couldn't alter or change it and that the CA would do that (he doesn't realize they can't alter a OC reporting). He even said they would stop reporting so I asked if it would be deleted/removed 3 times in a row and each time he said yes. So it's the waiting game. I hope there's will be removed since he told me that and I can pay to not have the CA report. I'm giving then a month to update there reporting/remove at which point I'll call the EO again and initiate legal action if they won't comply. Legal action makes me nervous as I've never done it before but what's the worst that can happen I guess.

Those goons in Verizon EO are out of their minds. While I am still trying to be optimistic about their good deeds, One of them had told me that "Verizon is not regulated by FTC", I was like "Are you kidding me.' I think once they give you a case ID, recovery cant even touch it. I had to do Identiy Theft resolution. Despite Fraud Dept sending me Credit, lady was not able to approve anything. she was very clear that once EO put a case ID, they cant do anythging until it is released from EO Point of Contact.

Just as you said, mine is also reporting from Verizon despite them telling me that MRS has it. I really wish you can resolve this with those goons.

I just filed a BBB complaint this afternoon. No one has call me back from the EO, so hopefully this will prompt them to call me about it and hopefully get it resolved.

So someone from the Verizon EO called me this morning and we talked through the debt, that I didn't dispute the debt, but that I wanted to pay it and have it removed from my credit reports. He said that the debt had been sold to EOS CCA and that they were the one's who I needed to pay. I then told him if that was the case, that Verizon need to update the balance to $0 on the charge off and let me deal with EOS CCA to pay the balance due. He said that he would contact the Recovery Dept. and ask them to look into this matter for me, and then call me back within 48 hours. I told him that it was illegal for them to report a balance due, as well as another collection agency reporting the same debt, and that IF the debt had been sold it needed to be updated to a $0 balance. (although I wish I could get them to remove it completely)...any updates on your situation?

None. Still haven't seen a new collection pop up or received any snail mail in regards to it. Nothing has changed on the reporting either. As a last ditch effort I disputed the reporting of it on TU and Equifax (couldn't get on Experian) as sold to another collection agency so waiting to see what happens. It's weird though because I can't login to TU disoute online anymore to check on it, just get an error message. And when I updated my Credit Karma this morning they were unable to update my TU report :-/ think I may give them a call.

I have finally sorted mine out. I got a call yesterday from ERs that they will be removing the reporting. Gentleman was very helpful. Even though other had told me that Verizon no longer had this acccount and it is currently with the MRS, a CA. I have a link for you that tell you if they have it or it has been sold to a CA. If you enter your info and it comes up, 'the associate said,' this indicates that Verizon still has it. NOT that it makes any difference as far as the reporting goes but it just shows that if you push it harder you may hit the nail.
