However, if dealing with more than aTu, yes, you will want to BBB complaint re illegal reporting, or the above info for PFD.

If BBB complaint no joy, then need to open up cfpb complaint. Do some research re BBB complaints on the CRA's and the CA's. Also, do research with the cfpb complaints against the agency(s) involved.,

Thanks Imperfectfuture

I have detailed notes of the conversation. Agent, date, time, confirmation of payment from them and on my prepaid card statement. Having a brain injury, notes are pretty much required. Unfortunately this involves all 3 CRAs. I've read horror stories about EQ so I'm thinking maybe going straight to CFPB might work out better.

Actually, I have had great success with BBB and eq. But you need to try and dispute first. Call the equifax number, then ask to be transferred to US rep, may take several times. Ask for a supervisor, and explain in detail, so the supervisor can help with the dispute. Google for phone number, don't use the 800 number.

Money Recovery Nationwide agreed to delete the 2 collections I had with them because they mailed the dunning letter to a former address and I did not receive it. I got a MyFICO alert yesterday that they updated to paid collection instead of deleting (score increased by 18). Should I call them and remind them of our agreement or give them some time to actually delete? Maybe 30 days. Or should I just file a complaint with the BBB now?

Thanks for any and all insight.
