Amex won't remove 30 & 60 day late report.

I was on the CARE payment plan for my green card and paid it off finally. They reported 30 & 60 day late that dropped my fico score. Is this 100% for certain they will not remove the reports? Anyone have any suggestions?

Very curious to hear your outcome. After writing AMEX a GW, I received a prompt response from the Executive Office and the rep was extremely nice, and diligent in reaching me and devoted a lot of time to me, but still basically said they could not remove the marks as it would not be factual. They did, however, give me a firm offer of credit for a new Optima card as a rebuilder.

Is that so... my green card was only suspended and never deleted... So I still have the card and it's active. You probaby had the card deleted or ?

The card was closed by them due to late payments on another card of theirs. They closed both cards. However, when they offered me the new card, they reaged it to the opening date of the account they closed.

I see.. Looks like everyones situation is different... Did you 30&60 late payments fall off already?

I have had both good and bad luck with Amex. I had one 30-day late with them. I began sending letters monthly to their EO. They denied all requests and then I guess decided to express their displeasure with me. They inserted a comment of "Dispute Resolved - Consumer Disagrees" on all three of my credit reports. After several calls, I was able to get those comments removed.

I waited a few months and then wrote another GW. I guess it fell on the desk of the right person at the right time. I got a call from a VERY nice lady and I was very truthful with her about what happened and what we went through. She agreed to have the 30-day late removed and did so.

I owe the success to this forum for all the great insight and guidance!

They have not. A long way to go. The last was reported last year.
