Finally hit 600!

So I woke up this morning with an alert from Experian. A 39 point jump took my score to 604!!! The two items that updated were a Cap One CO that I paid in full, and a CC utilization that went from 65% to 7%. I am pretty excited to say the least, but a second later I was racking my brain wondering what of the two triggered the largest score jump????

It would have actually been both - the Cap One Charge Off was most certainly hosing your UTI%.

Thats what I figured also. Just got 7 Equifax Alerts! Score jumped 42 pts to 581!!! Only bad thing was that my other Cap One CO that Ive been fighting for pfd, was sent for collection... which droped my ballance from $466- $0. Of course the new collection will kill my gain when it hits.

I wouldn't fret too much - Most collectors will agree to not report if paid immediately. You have a high probability of keep a collection off your reports if you move fast when they contact you. I would try to find out who Cap One sold it to, and contact them ASAP.

Here is the link to what is going on with the CA that owns the account now. I got ahold of them and they stated that I would recieve something in the mail when the account is fully in their system. Been trying to get ahold of them for a couple more weeks now to no avail. I guess I'll just keep trying...

Thanks Guys! I decided to give the ol' Cap One pre-qual a try since I now show 0 ballance with them. To my supprise I was able to get a Quicksilver cash back!! Only a $300 limit to start, but not bad considering where I came from a few months ago.
