Trying to understand what I am looking at here

So I just accessed my CR from EQ and the account below from Pennicle Credit services is there. It doesn't have any information on an original company or anything. How am I supposed to know what this is? Is the lack of information provided here grounds for a dispute? The way you see it below is exactly how it looks on my report. Thanks for any input!

You are looking at a Collection Agency entry, the debt went into default in 2009 it can report for 7.5 yrs from the reported DoFD. If you dont know what it is I would send them a DV http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/Debt-Validation/m-p/7133

OK thanks I will try the DV route. Is it best to send a letter directly to them or better/easier to dispute through EQ online system?

I would deal directly with the CA rather than EQ if it were me.
