Any tips for Macy's goodwill late payment removal?

Hey guys,

I got hit with a 30 day late report from Macy's. It's my first late payment ever so it's hitting my credit hard. Do you guys have any tips for a goodwill late payment removal? Any specific numbers, emails, or addresses to mail? This 30 day late payment report is killing me! I tried calling once to the backdoor number and the guy rejected me saying he can't do anything about it and sent me a letter notifying the denial. The Macy card was one of my first too! It was a card everyone was raving about on here and easy to get.. disappointing that they dropped my credit limit from $300 to $100 because of 30 days late payment!

Call the back door number listed here in the forum.

They removed ALL my lates. But I called like literally 30x. LOL

Yeah I'd like to know what you told them to make it happen too LOL. Macy's has been the devil to me trying to remove lates!

I just signed up for credit monitoring service and this is my first post actually.

What I noticed after I got my report back is a loott of late payments on my Macy's card. I had completely forgotten about those charges, until it was already too late and had gone to collections. I think that might be hurting me quite a lot.

If there is a way to get this removed, how? And does it really work?

LATE 30 DAYS 2 times (Jul 2013) 0 times 2 times (Jul 2013) LATE 60 DAYS 1 time (Aug 2013) 0 times 1 time (Aug 2013) LATE 90 PLUS DAYS 4 times (Dec 2013, Nov 2013, Oct 2013, Sep 2013) 0 times 4 times (Dec 2013, Nov 2013, Oct 2013, Sep 2013) WORST DELINQUENCY 120+ days past due None Reported Collection

Any thoughts?

I just kept asking for a good will adjustment. I did send in letters too. I was very aggressive about it. It got to the point I would get the same reps lol I guess they got tired of me calling 👍 oh I had one late where I coinsidently had made a return that same month and I told them that I thought that would have coveted my min payment. So check for that and that's a good way to start 😂😂😂

Hello, I have 2 late payments with Macy's that I am trying to clear. How recent did you clear yours? I called Macys and they are being stubborn about this

I'm having a problem with Macy's right now. I work for a mortgage company and I'm trying to help my boyfriend refinance his house, but we ran into an issue where he has 2 30 day lates: one from December 2014 and the other from May 2015. We've tried calling and speaking to multiple reps at their credit services number with no luck. They're very stubborn and refuse to remove the late payments without any kind of proof that the payments were made late due to an error on THEIR end. I've read on these forums that some have had success writing goodwill letters. I wrote a very nice, professional letter to Macy's and sent it off to 2 different addresses hoping at least one of them reaches one sympathizing individual. Has anyone had success with these, specifically when dealing with Macy's? I made sure to also notate in the letter that he's spoken to reps there (and mentioned one of them was rude and unprofessional) as I know they monitor each call and make notes on his account every time he speaks to someone, so as not to deny the fact that he's already made an attempt to resolve this. Please guys, any help or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Goodwill is the only shot at this, they may or may not be willing to do it you just have to wait and see, it may take mutliple attemtps at GW letters before they even entertain it, Welcome to myFico
