Ok, I am still relatively new here, but have found some great help on the Credit Cards boards. I am currently sitting at EQ 605; TU 585; EX 605 with a judgement, and some baddies on my reports. I am going to try to list my baddies on here to get some advice. I have some questions on some of them that make absolutely no sense to me...

First off, my Wells Fargo Auto Loan has some negatives listed on it, but it has been paid off since 7/2009... is there any way to get it deleted from my CR earlier?

Next I had student loans opened in 2000/2001 which went to collections and were paid off in 2008... those should fall off this year correct? I am looking at my report on here and it shows last status update being listed as 6/2010 surely that won't keep it on my report for two more years will it?

Here are the ones that confuse me the most... In 2006, I attended a "For profit" trade school... Once I found out they couldn't offer me the certification they promised me I would receive at the end of my time there, I pulled out of the school. I did have student loans for my time there...totalling about $6600. They were originally opened through Sallie Mae, but then later sold to Great Lakes. I paid on them for a while, and then lost my job, so I got deferrments on them and just started paying them again in February. I am current on them right now, so I am not worried about Great Lakes reporting. The thing that confuses me is these loans are listed three times on my CR... and then there are two more DOE loans that I have NO clue where they came from. The listings go like this...

Great Lakes: $6625 Pays as agreed (a few lates from back in 2012.)

DOE/SallieMae: $4000 Last activity 4/2009 Transferred to another lender

DOE/SallieMae: $2625 Last activity 4/2009 Transferred to another lender

(I assume these two are there from when they combined the loans and transferred them to Great Lakes, the timeline fits.)

DOE/SLM: $4000 Last activity 4/09 Balance being paid through insurance

DOE/SLM: $2625 Last activity 4/09 Balance being paid through insurance

(I am confused on these as they seem to fall in line with the Great Lakes and the original SallieMae accounts especially since the amounts match.)

DOE: $5371 Last activity 3/2010 (Listed as seriously past due/Collection account)

DOE: $3314 Last activity 3/2010 (Listed as seriously past due/Collection account)

I DO NOT REMEMBER TAKING OUT THESE LOANS! The origination date is 10/2006 which falls in line with all the other loans listed above, but I remember the ones above... What should I do about this? Dispute with the CRAs? Ask for validation? Go back to the "school" and ask them to pull out my files?

As far as the Judgement on my reports. I have no way of paying it off right this moment, in a few months I will be able to make payments to it though. The law office just started a revivor on the Judgement in February (judgement was issued in Jan. 2010.) I am under the assumption they can keep reviving the judgement forever since I live in Ohio, but I am not sure how that works. I know it is negatively affecting my credit, but is the revivor going to ding my credit again? If I pay the judgement off, can I ask the law office to delete the judgement from my reports?

Thanks in advance for all your help... I am trying to fix my youthful indiscretions slowly but surely, so any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

I would goodwill letter the lates to Wells Fargo.
you can do a search on this board for wells Fargo goodwill to see how that worked out for others and possibly get an execs address.

For the repetitious collections. I would dispute them with the CRA. TransUnion has been the best to me about resolving disputes and updating the other 2 CRA.

So how does a dispute work with the CRA? Will it affect my scores when I dispute? I really want those off my report because I'm fairly certain they're having a good size effect on my CR.

They are having a huge effect on your score.
I disputed online via the TransUnion website.
Duplication of the same collection is not legal.
So mention they are duplicates in the comments.

Thanks for the info. I'll send out a dispute online to see if they'll remove the duplicates. Do you know approx how long it takes? I'm still confused what to do about the other student loans that I do not remember taking. Should I dispute them as well and see what they say?

Ok, I filed a dispute with TU just a few minutes ago. I think it showed that they were past due and I owed the full balance, which is so not true. I hope this gets them resolved and off my account.

Looking at the judgement, it shows it should fall off 10/2016... will the revivor keep pulling this back on to my credit report?

You are right judgments can be revived basically forever if the judgment creditor is willing to pay the fees. You might want to see what the law allows in OH as far as garnishment or asset seizure.
