Well in the past week I have received 2 (yes 2) "preapproved" offers in the mail. Now I know for many that their mail is chocked full of offers every day but these are the first offers I have received in a long long time.

Now I might be more excited about them if there weren't from American General Finance (yup just cash this check and you owe me for life kind of loan)

And from a Take this check and cash it place and we can charge you 365 percent in daily interest.

wtggg granny it's a start!!!! I would not accept that 365% tho lmao.

I used to get those too. I called the "opt-out" # so that those kind of offers don't get to my mailbox. (within about 6 weeks it all ceased) I figured that when I want credit, I'll call a reputable company & see what kind of rate I can get. Needless to say, it's been a long time since I've done that! hehe

I just don't like those sitting in my (accessible) mailbox all day while I'm at work. Who knows who can grab those up!

Good feeling to be receiving some kind of offers tho!

I did the opt out thing too. I dont want someone fishing around my cr and adding unneccessary inquiries into my reports.
