Capital One Repossession Pay Off????

I found out today that my ex bf had 2005 infiniti repossessed in November i had no idea until today. I spoke to representative with Capital One and she stated balance was $1060 from sale of vehicle. What are my options? She stated they my credit report will say paid in full. I checked my credit report today and it says charge off balance $0. Any advice on what i should do? I told her i would call back tomorrow.

Something is not adding up here. They are reporting the balance as 0 which would tend to indicate they sold the debt off to a JDB. How were you contacted??

Yes the charge off says $0. she contacted by phone left voicemail and i called her back.

I would be very careful moving forward here. Its quite possible its a scammer. I would call Capital Ones Auto Finance department directly from the numbers they provide to verify if this is in fact legit. On legit debts that are owed you would want to try and get a PFD of the TL. Welcome to posting at My Fico
