I went to the trouble of finding the right person at the state labor office to confirm that a tax lien my DH had was DISCHARGED/CANCELLED, and file the appropriate papers so that this tax lien is gone, I faxed the info to TU, who is the only one reporting it and they VERIFIED.

That's two times I've disputed it, and now they say I can only add a statement.

What do I do with this?

Send for MOV.

Then, if you are willing to follow through, send an ITS.

You can also file complaints with the BBB and your AG before sending the ITS.

Quote the section of FCRA that states that the CRA shall consider documentation provided by the consumer and thoroughly conduct an investigation and have measures in place to ensure fair and accurate reporting.

excellent advise from sidewinder here - file immediately complaints with BBB, the AG in your and TU home state, and the FTC.

then send a MOV letter to TU and be ready to send an ITS letter.
