Diversified consultants....SP??

So since I am working on being patient. I picked through my TU CR with a fine tooth comb. Diversified consults SP me; reason collections.

I've never heard of these people and they're not reporting, other than that SP.

So, should I contact them? Find out why they're up in my business before they report something? Or leave it alone? Wanting a mortgage soon and don't want any surprises either....

They own a peice of paper with your name on it from somewhere...

how old is this soft pull?

Its likely they still own it. You can either wait for them to make a move, or you can contact them and find out what they think they have.

The only way they would have permissible purpose to receive your credit report is if they currently have legitimate collection authority on a debt that they allege you owe.

You thus have full basis to send then a debt validation letter, which will impose a full cease collection bar on them until they provide validation.

If you send a DV, be sure to include a request for the name of the original creditor.

Diversified primarily deals with cell phone bills. They had my tmobile collection have seen several sprint collections thru them on the forums. They were fortunately very easy to get rid of by PFD.... just mention cramming

They are used by virtually all of the communications industry - All of the major cellphone providers, cable companies, dish network and directv all use them.

What is cramming?? Per my mortgage credit advisor I was told to pay off account with this company but per the rep they wouldn't delete it! I accepted settlement offer but I rather not see account on report at all I need the points! What can I do?

The adding of unauthorized charges to your bill.

They are the worst! I had a Sprint bill on my report with Harvard collection, I couldn't shake them,so I thought since they verified me. A few months ago I got a letter from Harvard stating they were advised from their customer aka sprint to close and delete. .I was soooo happy BUT a few weeks past and it was still there. I disputed it and a week later diversified popped up on my credit for the same acct. NOW I didn't pass the bar, but I know two collection company can't hold the same debt. .. long story short. .I disputed again and got both off my report.. I took a bad hit because of Diversified 30 pts, but I've been slowly recovering since.
