Asked TU for EE. Did I make a mistake?

So I called TU today and asked for a EE of an Unpaid judgement. It was filed in sept of 08. I don't even know if this is mine. Anyway, I told the gentleman that I had a judgement that is do to fall off my report in sept and stated I would like an exclusion a couple of weeks early. He asked if I could hold for a minute. When he came back he stated he had put in a dispute. Reason that it was to old to be on my reported. I've read on here that they do this sometimes. I've also read that they can delete on the spot if they choose to. Is what happened good or bad? I know that technically it can report for three more years.

We've only gotten one EE and that was through TU using the dispute process(for that same reason) on their website. So it sounds like what we did.

last month i filed EE and they disputed 7 accounts as to old and the next day all 7 were deleted.

You'll be fine. Remember, if the judgement is unpaid, they can refile on the credit report.

Yes, be very careful about this. Unpaid judgments have a way of resurfacing.Best of luck to you.

HAPPY DANCE!!!!!! I didn't wake up this morning to a deletion of the judgement, but I did get a notification from CCT about 2:00 that my report had changed!! So I used my free report ( that I had been saving ). What did I see? The judgment is gone!!! Thanks for the pep talk! It is much appreciated!!
