T-Mobile/ERC - Success!!

Hello, all.

I sent a DV to Enhanced Rocovery for an old T-Mobile bill.

But, instead of receiving a response from ERC; I received a full copy of my bill directly from T-Mobile.

It reads on the front page:

"Thank you for your recent inquiry to T-Mobile Customer Care Department. Enclosed is a copy of your invoice(s) for the month(s) that you requested"

Why didn't ERC respond with this information?

Seems Odd - if you are sure the bill is yours anyway - I'd contact Sprint and offer to pay if they recall it from ERC......

Jlynn0819,

This one is for T-Mobile. I never sent anything to T-Mobile directly.

ERC is listed on my Credit Reports for the debt. What I'm wondering is if T-Mobile actually sent a response, does that mean ERC no longer is collecting the debt?

my odd experience with ERC - was when I called the number listed for them on my credit report - the lady told me they were no longer handling collections and that it should have been removed from my report. So I disputed it since they didn't have authority to collect - and all three deleted within a week. Mine was a stupid $27 bill that I was just going to PFD - so I didn't care either way - I just wanted it gone - and if it pops up again - I'll deal with it......it for a DISH bill from 2009 - that got lost in the mail or soemthing when we moved.....

That being said - every day I see someone post about ERC and a collection being reported by them. So who knows why I was told what I was when I called.

That's interesting!

lol. It doesn't really make any sense. I wonder if ERC will eventually reply to my DV. Really not sure how to proceed with this one.

you can settle the bill directly with tmobile and avoid any collection dept i will pm you the contact info if they cant help no one can....

In your scenario was the CA reporting to three CRA's? And, was it removed if it was?

enhanced recovery reporting the debit ,i settled it with the person i told you, they emailed me a letter less then 5 mintues after debt was setttled, saying debt was paid in full and it would be deleted from all 3 CRA's, and they had it deleted from all 3 cra's

you should get a responce within 24 hrs i send my email about 4pm est, i had a phone call about 2 hours later, and it was paid in full and had a letter in hand 10 minutes after that , good luck

it is a tmobile contact. not ERC, if you still need info let me know

ALWAYS try and settle with the original deter before even attempting to contact the CA

Thanks. I have a Time Warner and ERC issue. Paid Time Warner (OC) and ERC (CA). I can't get Time Warner to delete the TL.

Can you send me the contact info you have for T-Mobile? I have TWO collection agencies calling me regarding 2 different amounts and both are apparently T-Mobile and every time I try to call T-Mobile the automated system won't let me through because I still have the same phone number I previously had with them?! :/

if you paid time warner directly ask them for a letter of receipt, and or deletion letter, file a dispute and submit a copy of the receipt, this should remove the CA.

not every OC will delete but if you can pay to the OC, and acquire a paid letter you should be able to dispute and remove the CA, as they don't have any authority to collect the debt

OK. I will call Time Warner for a receipt. All I have now is my receipt from my checking account where I paid by phone to Time Warner. I've called the CA but never get a response. Tried email as well.

Paying the OC will only lead to a requirment for deletion of the collection if the creditor terminated their collection assignment to the debt collector prior to payment of the debt.

If you pay the OC while the debt collector still has collection authority, the debt collector is instructed by the CRAs not to delete their reporting.

SUCCESS, SUCCESS, SUCCESS!!!!

Tmobile just called me, and they're deleting from the CRA's without payment. The outstanding balance was basically an ETF, and since they're basically a 'no contract' company I was told that they wouldn't hold me to it!

I was told that it'd take up to 90 days to reflect on my credit report.

Also, they mentioned I've been a pay as you go T-Mobile customer for the last two years; so that played a big role in their decision as well.
