I am SUPER EXCITED My Fico score went up from 731 to 795..and Equifax 828.

I have worked my rear off the past 5 years paying things off and having things deleted from my bureaus after going through a bad divorce. I had all but one paid in full account 4 drop off last month and the last one drops off in February. I was a 731 last month with that on me. I keep all my credit cards at 0 balances and I just checked American Express My Fico Experian score and I am a 795. I SIGNED UP TONIGHT ON MY FICO to check my other scores and I am an 828 on Equifax a 725 Transunion. Anyway I am sooooooooo happy and I am here to tell anyone that is repairing there credit that you can and will succeed with the help and support of this board. Keep working hard and I want you to remember to PERSEVERE AND NEVER GIVE UP....

Seriously, I remember when I started I looked back and I was a 835 before my divorce and it seemed like I would never have good credit again however after steadily working with the bureaus and following the adivice of this board I have in the past year had things deleted and my score is almost at my goal of 800. If I can ever assist any of our members pm me.

Did you always keep the CC balances at $0? I have read that its important to let 1 report a balance of 10% or less.

No, actually I have had balances under 10% reporrting on my Wells Fargo Visa and my American Express cards for the past year. Last month I paid them both off to 0 balances so it would show 0 on my report. I read when you get close to 800 you should not run balances on your cards each month however I could be wrong about that. I am testing the waters here to see how it works.

You are more than welcome Ptrain. I know from experience in life that you should always stay positive and keep working toward your goals however life, people and general circumstances in our daily lifes keep most from achieving this, and it becomes stressful and overwhelming. I live by a siimple rule book that only has a couple of rules and one of them is to ALWAYS offer encouragment and thanks for those that are going through stressful times. NO ONE has a stress free life and most of us struggle daily with issues however if I can help just one person acheive there goals then I am happy.
