- Past due student loans came up to date (39pts)

- Removed incorrect information - ie, accounts that weren't my responsibility or had invalid information (25 pts)

- Paid off large charged-off balance (19pts)

- Added an open charge account (11pts)

Definitely! This is not a "quick fix". It wasn't overnight that my score went from the 800s to below 500, so it won't be overnight that it goes back.

I've found the credit repair journey is a lot like recovering from an injury. I "stopped the bleeding" (paid the collections, got accounts up to date, corrected information). Now I'm into "physical therapy" by establishing good credit and strengthening it as time goes by. This is going to be a years long process to get it back to where it was.

I refreshed my mortgage scores today. I might cry. It's actually amazing to me how much they have improved since I pulled them in April.

TU: 509 -> 593

EQ: 560 -> 620

EX: 586 -> 614

Updating 3 months later. My score has increased another 28 points. I took a small hit back in August (645 to 639) for a balance increase, but am quickly recovering by keeping my utilization down.

A little flux is probably pretty normal based on balances.....you are doing awesome!

Today was 3B report refresh day for me. I've been tracking my mortgage scores since April, and had already seen a ~70pt improvement to my EQ FICO 08 by that point. I don't know what they were when I began rebuilding.

I don't know why it's so hard to get my EX score up. This month, all my cards but one (used for monthly subscriptions) will be paid to $0. With luck, I'll be solidly in the mortgage range by then. My mid score is soooo close!
