Fighting is exhausting. I'm tired of it.

So yesterday I fired off 4 letters with documentation and made several phone calls, and filed a CFPB complaint.

I feel drained. I'm so tired of fighting. I cannot wait until this is OVER.

Still kicking myself too, for ever getting into a bad situation when most of my friends and family have perfect credit.

Just venting, wondering if anyone else feels the same way!

LolaCat....Right there with you...I feel the same way...Sometimes I even feel embarrassed of myself to myself. What makes it worse is right when you think you get a hold of everything and everything appears to be building....Something else pops up...So pissed at myself for letting this all happen...So, no, you are not alone.

I'm really not a fighter by nature.

I can see why people hire credit repair companies and attorneys to fix things. I would do that but

1) I'm too cheap

2) All of my xtra money goes into my 401k

3) I know that I do a better job than they would!

So, the Rocky theme song will continue in my head for the next year.....

Without a doubt we can do a better job because we are doing it for ourselves! As depressing and discouraging as it gets sometimes, at the end of the day we know we are helping the most important person in the world...."Ourselves"....Stay strong, stay the course...

I was there. For 6 months day in and day out I was on the computer, e-mailing, calling people, begging and pleading, reading. I lost sleep, I had dreams. It was stressful but thhing have finally calmed down. I only have 4 left on my CR. Those are not likly to be deleted and will unfortunatly have to age off. I seldom get updates anymore which is good.It means Its just time now. Even tho my scores are still kinda bad, I feel more established credit wise, My credit has finally leveled out and there's really no where to go but up. Give it some time and it will be worth it.

It's been 12 years since I let every thing go into the crapper, 8 years since I started to fix it, 5 years since the last baddie fell off my credit reports. Looking back now I don't regret any of it because of everything I learned during the process. Not only did I come away 100x better off than I was to begin with but I have helped tons of friends and family with everything I learned. Years from now you will have doors open to you that you never even knew were there.

Thanks everyone so much for the support, it means a lot.

I keep thinking about the good things that will eventually happen:

If my car breaks down and I need money to fix it I will have a nice limit and not have to worry. If I need a new car I won't get the 24% rate!

If I buy a house my mortgage will be hopefully at a reasonable rate, saving me thousands of dollars.

If I need a new rental I won't have to pay 6 months of rent in advance to "overlook" my credit (I had to do that for my current rental, I'm in a competitive neighborhood)

They only negative thing is that I'm a little overly obsessed with my scores, I need to stop checking CCT every day!

I wish I were that calm!!!

I'm starting to think I sit here and read too much. I get obsessive too and refresh it several times a day thinking that some new, unknown info is going to make its way to the report and the #'s will soar. I need to settle in and put down roots in the Garden for a year and let Cl's grow and bad leaves fall off but I'm probably to compulsive to just sit.

Sometimes I have checked cct over 10 times in a day worried that something old will pop up on it and make my scores dive.
