Well now!

This morning I saw that my 1st statements cut with my QS1 & Plat. Actually there was a statement in my docs for each that cut within a few days of my approvals. I didn't write down the date I app'd so the 1st one may have been cut the first time I logged in on the accts. Anyway, today is my first actuall statement and I've waited on it checking all the time till it came.

I just went on live chat and here are some of the relevant excerpts from that chat;

I am breathless!!!

I've wondered about this for the past month seeing all the commentary about waiting for the 2nd statment and not being sure what that meant. Well here is the real info for all that are in the same boat.

I just hit the CLI button on the QS1 since it got the largest share of spend and got the 2-3 day answer. Guess that's enough for success for one day!!!

I forgot to add the following comment;

Accepting this offer means that you cannot accept any rewards upgrades on this account again for at least 6 months.

Congrats! I'm also curious what your balance was when you requested this?

Also, this sounds dumb, but maybe you know: I have a statement from 2/2/16, which is really only a few days after I received my card (apped on 1/6/16). So does that mean the next statement, presumably 3/2/16, is my second statement?

Hope this helps with your question about statement dates. I got my card on 12/29/15, same day activated it. First statement date was 2/3020015 to 01/17/20016. Second statement dated 01/18/ to 02/17.

Yes but that was only because I wanted it to report a $0 to the CB's. I don't really think that matters for a PC but I've read that you must have 1 card with a $0 balance when combining them.

Here's the way it happened.

When I got my card I immediately went to the website and activated it. I looked all over the site to see what was there and to my supprise there was a statement already in my Docs. I was curious all month as to whether that would actually count as the 1st one so yesterday morning when I saw the 2nd one appear I went on chat and got the results I showed.

This was the first statement that I got an email alert for.

Both of these cards are considered sub-prime accts but that is not really the issue. The Platinum QS PC gets you a prime acct that gives 1.5% cash back on every purchase and once both cards hit the 6mth point they can be combined into 1 CC with the total CL of the 2 seperately. This is a benefit to those that would like to add more cards with Cap1 since they limit the amount of accts you can have.

I think (but not positive) that the prime cards won't show up in a pre-qual request until you have these out of sub-prime status. All in all it's a win-win and It's good to have a positive encounter with a CC provider instead of all the NO's we tend to hear at this point in our journey's. It was an emotion booster for me!!!

Feels great huh???

I was soooooo sour on Cap1 for many years and it was mostly my fault but they have really stepped up their gamethese days and are very consumer friendly and have cerated many products and options for every level of consumer.

Am I a fan??? You bet!!!

The rewards upgrade is not score based. In general, as long as your account is in good tanding they will upgrade it.
